KAMCHATKA
Kamchatka Peninsular - the land of "Fire and Ice" surrounded by the sea is a must see/visit location for adventurous heliskiers. I know - it is very far away and hard to get to, but it is absolutely worth it. 10% of the worlds volcanoes are here in this remote region close to Alaska. Most of the time the skiing is taking place on gigantic volcanoes with a vast amount of ski lines of all levels - and some of these long and sustained ski runs end right up at the sea. The landing zones are around 2.000 - 3.000 m - some are on active volcanoes ... the smell of sulfur and the rumbling sound will make you shake in your boots. Super strong Russian made helicopters MI8 - MTV, operated by extremely skilled pilots and mechanics will guarantee for a safe trip in the magic land of Kamchatka Peninsular. After a long day of skiing we usually soak in natural hot springs in the middle of nowhere to relax our tired legs and just to chill out.
